One credit is equal to one scan point.
If you choose to scan a square area that is 9×9, this scan will use 100 scan points and 64 credits.
The table below will show you how many credits each scan size will required.
FYI: the most common scan is Circle 13×13 over 1 Mile
| Scan Size | Square Credits | Circle Credits |
|---|---|---|
| 3×3 | 9 | 7 |
| 4×4 | 16 | 12 |
| 5×5 | 24 | 20 |
| 6×6 | 36 | 28 |
| 7×7 | 49 | 39 |
| 8×8 | 64 | 50 |
| 9×9 | 81 | 64 |
| 10×10 | 100 | 78 |
| 11×11 | 121 | 95 |
| 12×12 | 144 | 113 |
| 13×13 | 169 | 133 |
For example, in the screenshot below, you can see a 13×13 scan.
💡 Pro Tip
Circle scans are more cost-effective than Square scans because they use fewer scan points. This is because a circle has a smaller perimeter than a rectangle of the same area. Additionally, circle scans cover a wider radius, so they can capture more data. As a result, circle scans typically use fewer credits than Square scans.
